Falklands' oil industry deal: Rockhopper will take over FOGL for £57.1m
Falkland Islands oil & gas explorer Rockhopper Exploration is launching a £57.1mln takeover of rival Falkland Oil & Gas. Rockhopper and FOGL have agreed a recommended all-share merger resulting in Rockhopper holding 65% of the enlarged group and FOGL owning the rest. Read full article

As a very long term shareholder of FOGL I have indeed read the full RNS announcement in detail and consider, with a lot of others, that this deal has been engineered to sell out FOGL at the lowest price in its history. We feel that there is information available which would have enhanced the FOGL share price and given a much better deal for their shareholders rather than the paltry terms that now exist. What has gone on behind the scenes here is unknown but many of us think the whole deal stinks and the value to shareholders has been the least of the BOD's concerns.
