“that have left at least 160,000 people, 25,000 of them in Argentina alone”

    :)

I know what you are doing, Mercopress.

Reminds me of this classic gem by Cronica TV:

“... significant loss of forest cover in Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, which are among the world's 10 countries with the most deforestation, have not allowed the natural absorption of water,”

And this is ”News” !!!!!! ???????????
Finally this is now affecting the 'home' countries, so I am hoping they, (the people), might start to listen to the good advice being espoused by scientists in other countries that are far more knowledgeable than their own corrupt populist politicians....
(PS: I have ignored the troll post above, and did not click on the link. Probably some weird virus...)

    @2

Argentina has no rainforest, nor are we an industrialized nation, nor are we a huge emerging economy.

It is the developed world, developing nations with over 50 million people, and nations in the tropics that need to sacrifice. Argentina has to do nothing we will just keep chopping trees, allow factories to spew into the air pollutants and into the water. It affects no one beyond Argentina. Everyone else though should do something.

So, air pollution will just hang over Argentina until it poisons your eco system and waterways and your seas are poisoned by effluent.
I suppose the rest of your “countrymen” agree with your views. Just let it happen...well, Latams will be Latams

I really despair in your show of pig ignorance which is a common feature in your posts.
    “Argentina has no rain forest,”
Try looking up Valdivian forest and the Iguazú rainforest

Your paradise of Mendoza ....... nature.com/news/2009/091009/full/news.2009.984.html

Cheer up....you might get something right one of these days.

@3. Is any part of your “comment” supposed to be intelligible/intelligent? Firstly, drop the upper case. It's the equivalent of shouting and brainless ranting. Comments are required to be in English. “USIN” isn't English. “OILM”. What's that then? Same for “PERFORATION”. “THIS IS OIUR HOME ISSUES AND AND THEN END WE DO WHAT OIUR ASSESS WANT”. “OIUR” isn't English.

One problem with your dumb, shit-faced, ignorant comment is that it comes from a dumb, shit-faced, ignorant, brain-dead paedophile. When will you become an adult? Watch real people report your abuse.

You can't blame emerging countries taking immediate $ over future environmental issues. Every nation on earth has done that during their development stage.

The thing is though, the developed nations were doing it without knowing the future consequences but these nations can look at our history and see what the future cost will be.

None of these nations will ever make it to a developed nation and will never be able to fix the destruction they've caused so they are permanently damaging their country and their future generations.

I said long ago, if there is climage change, the poor nations will suffer greatly and the rich ones will mitigate it and continue their growth.
