The removal of D. R. is quite justified. But I seriously doubt if there is anyone else who really is a much BETTER option to be the president. Any suggestions?

    @1 “ Any suggestions?”

I hear that Lutfur Rahman is a bit under-employed at the moment, and seems to have the appropriate credentials.

Brazil needs a root and branch reform of its constitution so that corrupt politicians can be jailed or expelled from congress and so that the budget is not beholden to the straightjacket of mandatory spending.

The corrupt politicians can be jailed; is a good idea provided they are forbidden to re-enter into politics. IF they return their loots; they may re-enter into politics at least 10 years after completing their [reduced] prison-sentence.

Balancing of the budgets and raising capital of each state should be the responsibility of the state governments and it should be scrutinized / questioned / approved by the central govt.

What a difference a decade makes. Venezuelans have famine, Brazil is poor and dysfunctional again, Russia and China collapsing. Germany becoming the weak man of EU again but this time will pull the rest of the EU with it.

Seems to me the world is getting back into realignment.

Good bye populism ! Don´t let the door hit you in your way out.

And it´s pretty touching to see some hand-written post among people which say “Less Venezuela More Argentina”, as a desire of change.

Thank you Brazilian friends, you are not alone.

She surely ought to be booted out of office, but it won't change anything. The gullible, misinformed public keep electing these corrupt, socialist morons, and there will always be another of the same sort ready to fill any vacant slot.

That's true! The Brazilian Population is a gold mine for the corrupt. The majority of the population is so helpless, ignorant and gullible that they believe in anyone - even in Santa, Saci-pererê & Co.

“More than a million people fill the streets of Brazil demanding removal of Rousseff”...

There were a damned sight more than 1 million people.....in the City of São Paulo alone (Av. Paulista), organizers put the number at 2,5 million, the Military Police at 1,4 million. Seeing the seething crowds, stretching for over 1,5 kilometres of the avenue, plus all the crossings 100 metres to either side, I'd say easily 2 million...plus millions more in all the Capital Cities and in hundreds of smaller towns.
It is obvious that the majority of Brazilians are now in favour of the fat cow's impeachment or her resignation, along with Lula's imprisonment, but after these incompetent, thieving 'petistas' are gone, who has the credentials to regain the population's confidence and pull the country out of the quagmire ?

I have said it before: DumbAss Dilma will need dragging, kicking and screaming out of office, OR a bullet in the back of the head. I favour the latter.

After getting rid of PT & Co. I hope that Brazil is not “into the fire from the frying pan”!

.Look, don’t take this the wrong way, or shoot the messenger
    But ??

According to some, these millions of Brazilian’s were actually marching in support of argy claims over the invisible Malvinas,

    So some are saying.

    Chuckle.
    cough

I'd say the 'one million' fugure is about one tenth of the actual turnout Nationwide.

Irrespective to the exact number uniting & demanding the removal of D. R. - but who is listening and taking effective measures?

Nobody! At this moment the president and the ex-president need each other - one to remain as a president [for the name-sake] and the other to regain power officially. Watch them gaining time, saving each other and the freeing their corrupt partners in crimes.
