His Italian wife and their children already hold the right to stay there, he needs asylum and Congress to vote to allow him to leave the country with a safe passage to the airport!
The Italian Embassy are 'considering' the request.
The meeting was just held 'pro-forma' to officialize the PMDB's decision......By late morning it was already a known fact it would leave the Government.

In it's absence; one crook may simply replace another. In spite of the well-publicised differences amongst all the parties; ultimately it's just one bunch of crooks who keep battling for holding on to power [and consequently, for holding on to their loot].
