Regrettably, relations with Chile under Bachelet should be approached with caution. Although it would be a good thing for Macri to reverse the request to all South American countries to bar vessels from the Falklands from their ports, it would be a positive action if Bachelet were to renounce and lift that measure of her own volition. It's understandable that Chile's relations with argieland should be, let us say, pragmatic. But Bachelet appears to be attempting to have one foot on both sides of the fence. Macri may be an improvement over Kirchner but it's not an unqualified improvement and we have no idea how long it will last.
