What is it about you and the French ? The word is valour unless you are an American.
I think if you look at their history, they have been as brave as any other nation.
In WW2, they were defeated by a well trained, ruthless professional force who also forced the BEF out of continental Europe. Not to surrender would have meant wholesale destruction of their cities and population. The synonym for valour in this case would be suicidal. Briton was lucky having the channel to protect us as the chances are that they would have steam-rollered us too.
I have no time for armchair critics or theorists who have never been put to the test....have you ?

sometimes dependency to much on others can backfire,
    they aint that bad.

@2 Be sure to let that shovel of yours cool off or it'll lose its temper and you'll never be able to dig your self out of that historically challenged hole that you are digging for your self.

,The French Defence Minister has stated that defence ties between the UK and France will remain in place following BREXIT.

French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said:

“Brexit will not damage in any way the extremely strong defence cooperation that we have with Britain. This partnership exists and will continue to exist. The British Minister (Michael Fallon), who I met this morning, has confirmed this shared wish to continue with this very strong cooperation.”

His comments follow US Secretary of State John Kerry predicting “an even stronger NATO going forward”.

I wouldn't concern myself too much with Kerry's musings.

You might want to listen to Trump though.

Trump / US has some issues with Nato but the UK is cool.
