Macri said in Idaho that Argentina is a bright spot in the world, and that the country has become a place where money can flow in and out without barriers.
Similarly to other Argentine presidents in the past, the president is looking for foreign help to activate an economy that is currently suffering under higher inflation than under the former Kirchnerist government, where the public and private sector are laying off thousands of workers, and where utility bills have skyrocketed, motivating an unprecedented ruling from a federal appeal court to quash natural gas bill increases across the country, with several provincial courts also issuing rulings against utility bill increases.
”As a result, in nine provinces, increases of between 500 and 700 per cent (and as much as 2,000 per cent in Patagonia) have been suspended,“ noted La Nacion.
The government, the newspaper said, is asking Argentines to pay the increases and is seeking a Supreme Court ruling quashing the lower courts' decisions in favour of consumers.
The cost of public transportation has also increased and fuels have gone up by 30 per cent since January.

”The increases in costs and falling consumption has pushed the closure or near closure of thousand of small and medium-size companies, as denounced by chambers of commerce,” reported EL TELÉGRAFO.

All of which is sadly remembered by citizens who have suffered under previous neo-con governments, both constitutional or put in place by military coups.

You tell us how Argentina is going to get off its feet. We are dying to know. As you well know it will take several years for the economy to recover, Argentina man up and WORK FOR A LIVING AND PAY YOUR TAXES.

Your cheap shots blaming the people for their misfortunes are boring and show arrogance coupled with profound ignorance. Argentines do not work? Tell you what: each day more people are looking for work in Macri's Argentina. Argentina “man up?” Come on!
Try going there and lecture those who are struggling to make ends meet. Would be interesting to see it.
Oh, but no chance. Easier and cheaper to talk from far, anonymously, eh?

Actually I worked there for two years and married an Argentinian girl so I speak from experience. Generally lazy and extremely devious as to not pay taxes. You still criticise but do not put forward any ideas how Argentina is going to get out the mess the Kirchers have left the country in.

And Bill Gates' first question to Macri was “Why is your predecessor richer than me?” ;-)
