The inauguration ceremony of the Vega Pléyade natural gas field offshore Tierra del Fuego scheduled for Friday, has been postponed, although no official explanation has been given, it is believed that Argentine President Mauricio Macri was determined to attend, but his political agenda is too full precisely over the energy controversy and the fact next week he flies to China for the G20 summit.     “Inaugurations” of such projects here in Argentina can be a real joke. CFK used to attend multiple “inaugurations” of projects that never even worked. But in this case, the “inauguration” is for something that has been already in operation for many months.

    Curious that of the companies involved in the successful work here, none is Argentine. And Wintershall alone (German company) took in over 1 billion euros last year.
