The impeachment process that led to the removal of Dilma Rousseff from office on Wednesday, August 31, increased the gap among the continent's governments. While the U.S. said that the definite ousting of the now-former president of Brazil followed constitutional proceedings, the so-called Bolivarian governments – Venezuela, Ecuador and Bolivia – reacted by calling their ambassadors back. DumbAss Dilma claimed 'she knew nothing' of the murder of the American Officer in front of his wife and children, even though it was carried out by HER own cell, the one she was supposed to be 'leading'.

    So, are we to believe she was completely incompetent, or is she lying?

    Given her track record of having both attributes during 'government' it is probably both.

    ALL Marxists of any age unless they have irrevocably renounced their beliefs should be subject to the 9mm 'head injection' treatment ASAP. That alone would solve many of the problems in SA.

    “The murder of the American Officer” Namely Charles Chandler which was examined at length his distinguished service when you mentioned it at http://en.mercopress.com/2016/05/12/rousseff-vows-to-keep-fighting-the-coup-that-pretends-to-ignore-her-54-million-votes
    ”A lecture in Campinas, where he described methods of torture of the Viet Cong . “If the subject does not speak, thrust his bayonet into his belly sticking la devagarrinho to kill”. ...Chandler served in the Viet Nam war, where he was decorated, as military advisor and participated in more than 40 battles of the war; He commanded the strategic village of Quan Bo Tri in South Viet Nam, considered a field of torture of prisoners vietcong… ”

    Strange coincidence he was paid by the US to be in Brazil at time when numerous other torturers were seconded there. I guess he who lives by the sword… Glad to see your homicidal obsession is still in the forefront.

    Mr Hill,

    Mr Chandler may well have been a no-good, no-goodnik, but the point seems to be, Dilma herself was implicated in killing and torturing prisoners. She, or those under her leadership were accused, but she denied any knowledge.

    It is highly likely that she was complicit and lying then, just as she is now.

    Mr Massot may feel that her terrorist actions were justified because of her ideology.

    Yet he condemns her political rivals as ideologically motivated.

    Perhaps it's just plain old greed.

    Thank you for answering Tiny Hillock with the blindingly obvious which, of course, he is always incapable of determining for himself.

    She may or may not since it was a well established practice in such circles to disseminate as little information as possible for reasons of security. What we do know for certain is she was in the hands of the security forces for a considerable period of time, and it is well documented that they used torture to extract information. They were unable to get such an admission from her. So for your part a guess is as good as a wish.

    Mr. Hill;

    At the very best, you are countering deductive speculation with your own unfounded supposition.

    It changes nothing when it comes to the point, Dilma was with the Tupamaros forces “for a considerable time” and implicated, verified or not, in anti-government sedition and illegal activities.

    Once again, she is implicated in unethical and likely illegal activities, but she condemns Temer and her rivals for their unverified ideological motives.

    It has the appearance of blatant hypocrisy. You and Mr. Massot do not seem to see that.

    It's your “deductive speculation” that is unsupported by the historical evidence, it supports my deductive reasoning. “Dilma was with the Tupamaros forces” which translates into great moral bearing, courage and patriotism given what she was apposing. Most of us would not have had the fortitude to make the choices she made. “She is implicated in unethical and likely illegal activities” According to everything I have read she is probably one of the few politicians that is uncorrupted. “According to various reports, independent auditors did not find Rousseff involved in breaking fiscal responsibility laws.” September 03, 2016 Voice of America News

    Mr. Hill;

    Dilma self righteously preaches ideology when it suits her. She and the Communist ideologues like Mr. Massot and possibly yourself, are joining in the chorus.

    My point is, it's not ideology driving these events, except where it is convenient to mention it.

    Dilma quietly manipulated the books, before the last election, to deceive the voters and ensure her re-election.

    Yes, people are pissed.

    A rival party, likely no better morally than Dilma, is using it to their advantage.

    There is enough there that the mud sticks, and it brought her down.

    I agree her government was the intended beneficiary. “Not ideology driving these events” is to implying that ethical considerations are the sole purpose, which is patently
    obvious they were not. “There is enough there that the mud sticks, and it brought her down.” I also agree with.
