Funny, those that are protesting against the austerity measures, are exactly those that have not read the PEC 241 (Constitutional Amendment Project # 241, and now numbered # 55 while being debated by the Senate) , or if they have, haven't the faintest clue what it's about...the young, inexperienced 15 to 17 year old students of public schools, being manipulated by political agitators from the PT and the PC do B - a fact already proven. As the opposition, they are ideologically opposed to any measure which will improve Brazil's economic situation, first because this important proposal did not come from them (and if it passes it'll be to no credit of theirs), and second, because by betting on “the worse, the better”, they can try to survive until 2018.

The austerity - tightening of belts - is generously restricted to the masses ONLY.

The Brazilian Politicians have too much of excessive salaries, benefits, compensations, rights, etc, etc. which they will NEVER give up - under ANY circumstance!
