What type of fishing does the local government support . Are they long liners ? What are the fish they catch ?

If the concept of “budget surplus” is unfamiliar to our Argentine readers, perhaps someone can help to explain it.

If my financial management accountant had performed as bad as that without timely alterations to forecast he would have been out of a job.

This is restricting the FIG from buying whatever is needed to ensure the islands progress in a timely fashion.

It's as bad as getting the depleted cash flow analysis wrong.

What if it had been the other way around? :o(

    @Marti Llazo

We all know the concept of “budget surplus”. We understand it perfectly well (at least those who are not Peronists). But wait..maybe if you included the cost of keeping the garrison (including the RN patrols) the “real” numbers would turn red. VERY RED. But, don't worry the “defense” is being paid by British taxpayers, you keep on thinking that is for free.

You might better get a psychologist to get rid of your anti-Argentine complexes. Common people in Argentina never remember you.

As mentioned earlier, Argentina spends a great deal more in subsidies and similar costs to maintain its colony in Tierra del Fuego, and these result in enormously larger expenses for the rest of the country --- much larger than the comparatively tiny cost involved in maintaining the Falklands.

    TWIMC...

As two of our resident genetically & geographically diverse turnips have correctly written above..., the budget calculations for the Malvinas Islands first quarter financial year (July –September) are very criticizable, unrealistic and bordering sheer falsehood...

If one includes the DOCTORED UK's “Offense Spending”... (prerequisite for all Engrish Pirate Economical activity in them Islands)... that would leave us with a first quarter DEFICIT of about...: - £17 million...

If one includes the NON DOCTORED UK's “Offense Spending”... (prerequisite for all Engrish Pirate Economical activity in them Islands)...that would leave us with a first quarter DEFICIT of about...:- £95 million...

    Geeeeeee....
    Them Kelpers Chutzpah...!
Calculating the budget without the expenses...!

You have no idea what the actual expenditures are, Tinkle.

Still failing to grasp the idea Think? The MPA base is there to protect ALL the British territories in the South Atlantic, sub-Antarctic and Antarctica, not just the self-financing Falkland Islands. As such the MPA is both a separate financial arrangement and worth every penny.

Of course, if Argentina was not such an unreliable and rogue State, none of these measures would be necessary. One day it may just prove cheaper to divide Argentine up between its more reasonable neighbours.

How much does Argentina spend in tax money to support its colony on the Trinity Peninsula? They don't produce much of anything. Looks like it costs the Argentine taxpayer over US$100,000 each year to maintain each implanted colonist there.
