With a budget of 100 million dollars, construction of the 35-story building may start in June next year and be finished by 2020, it was announced by the same developers in charge of the residential project in Punta del Este under the name of next President of the United States.
Negotiations between real estate tycoon and US President-elect Donald Trump and Argentine developer YY Development Group began in January and are now little administrative details away from commencement, according to a report published by the La Nación daily newspaper.
YYDG directors Felipe Yaryura, Moisés Yellati and CEO Juan José Cualgindolo were cautious to disclose the exact location for the Trump Office Buenos, as the clearance paperwork with the city's government is yet to be finalized, but they hinted that it would be somewhere in the vicinity of Avenida 9 de Julio, less than five blocks from Corrientes Avenue, where the notorious obelisk stands.
Trump's interest in Argentina goes way back, but it never moved past the project stage due to exchange restrictions imposed under President Cristina Fernandez, which made it impossible to import certain materials, ranging from fittings, to electrical elements and even paint pigments.
Cugliandolo is also in charge of the Trump Tower project in Punta del Este, where we shall have the Ultra Exclusive Residences, while here we would have Ultra Exclusive Offices, with all the details of a premium Triple A office, he revealed.
The Punta del Este tower will have a total surface of 51,000 square-meters, 32,000 of which will be for sale. In each of the 20 floors there will be seven units between 100 and 300 square meters in size at an average prize of U$ 5,500 a sqm, while each of the two penthouse apartments is expected to be worth 8 million dollars. In addition to that, there will be a heliport, indoor tennis courts, two swimming pools, restaurants and lounges of all kinds.
Donald's son Eric already knew Punta del Este and the owners of the developing firm have an affinity with the Trump family, Cugliandolo has said in a previous interview. He also explained that Punta del Este is a cosmopolitan destination, safe and exclusive with can attract customers who can afford such a product.

The trump tower of poor timing. A building with this name is equal to a political comment now.
