Argentina and Chile alternate in Antarctic Combined Naval Patrolling

Argentina and Chile are already alternatively operating the Antarctica Combined Naval Patrolling, (PANC), which is responsible for maritime control and safety, including search and rescue missions, in the Southern Ocean particularly significant in summer months because of the increase in tourism traffic.     Apparently when each ship returns, another crew and name plate and flag takes over,

    its to give the impression that Argentina still has ships that float..lol

    Actually some of the Russian boats aren't that bad. Other than the funny names that the argies put on them.

    What is possibly more interesting are the brown-water fast boats they're trying to buy from the Israelis. Supposed to be well suited to riverine ops and more specifically, dealing with the insane amount of drug trafficking up north. Only four boats in the currently planned acquisition. Chile has been buying a lot of fast-boats as well in recent years, but from the US, though they've had some serious engine failures according to our navy contacts here.
