Falklands passes same sex marriage bill; invites non residents to share the legislation
On Thursday 30th March, the Legislative Assembly of the Falkland Islands voted strongly in favor of reform and passed the Marriage Bill, allowing same sex marriage and civil partnerships for both same sex couples and heterosexual couples.

Mercosur and Canada hold talks for a possible trade agreement
Mercosur and Canada re-launched discussions for a “possible trade agreement” this week, following a meeting of technical delegations in Argentina, which currently holds the chair of the South American group, and hosted the round of talks.

Falklands: Dolphin Fund desists from taking over FIH Group, at this time
Dolphin Fund Ltd said late Thursday that it has decided not to make an offer for FIH Group PLC at this time, following a letter from the Falkland Islands Government warning FIH about its status should it undertake a change of ownership.

Putin also has his “Father of all bombs”, allegedly four times more powerful than MOAB
The display of force by the US military with the MOAB type of ordnance has been impressive but such type of weapon is not exclusive of the US arsenal: Russia has a device four times more powerful than the US' monster bomb. The Russian version, called the Father Of All Bombs, weighs just 15,560lbs and is packed with the equivalent to 44 tons of explosive TNT.

Trump's MOAB kills 36 IS militants: allegedly no civilians casualties
A US military strike with a weapon known as the “mother of all bombs” (MOAB) killed 36 IS militants and destroyed their base, the Afghan defense ministry says. The most powerful non-nuclear bomb ever used by the US in combat was dropped on IS tunnels in Nangarhar province. No civilians were affected by the explosion, the ministry said.

Falklands: New CBFSAI Brg Bennett
The new Commander of British Forces South Atlantic Islands, Brigadier Baz Bennett OBE arrived in the Islands this week. Brigadier Bennett began his military career in 1991, commissioning into the Royal Artillery in the Army.
