Argentine Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra resigned on Monday and will move to Madrid to be closer to her family, President Mauricio Macri announced. Malcorra said that historically the Argentine position was not to acknowledge for this case in particular the “self determination of peoples”, because 'kelpers' (Falkland Islanders) are a transplanted population, not aborigine.

Foreign Minister indeed! Closer to her family in Spain? Confirmation (as if any were needed) that, when push comes to shove, Argentina really is still a Spanish colony.
