British and Spanish planes landed on Wednesday in Comodoro Rivadavia as part of the ongoing international effort to try to locate and rescue the Argentine submarine ARA San Juan which has now been missing for a week, and is in the “critical situation”, according to the official report from the Argentine navy. Many South American countries involved as well as the USA, Russia, UK, Spain and South Africa. There is even an RAF Hercules C130 at Comodoro Rivadavia, which is normally based in the Falklands. It is good to see the many putting aside politics and giving what they can.
