Brazilian politicians, voters and investors will find out this Wednesday whether an appeals court will allow the country’s popular leader, Lula da Silva, to run for president this year after being found guilty of accepting a bribe. Read full article
Brazil's parody of justice goes beyond shamelessness--the goal is to stop Lula at any price from becoming a candidate. With reason, his party is going ahead with his candidacy in spite of the incredible ruling of three judges who, not happy with the initial nine years, rose their bets to 12 (who does better?). In the meantime, corrupt Temer is kept at the presidency and nobody bats an eye.
Of course, Brazil is no exception in Latin America, where we assist to a general counter-offensive against progressive governments, with a strategy based on support from the judiciary and big media.
Come on Enrique lets have a modicum of sense, we all know that the whole of Latin America is bent but it depends on how bent.If LULU has been convicted let him serve his sentence after all it is your justice system after all.
REF: If LULU has been convicted let him serve his sentence:
The Sentence will be only for the namesake - as a mere gesture and he'll complete it in a jiffy, in Comfort/Luxury.
After all; the laws are endorsed BY the crooks - FOR the crooks - To Support and To Protect their race, kith & kin.
Why else, do you think; the number of political parties, as well as the number of politicians, keep constantly growing? Didn't you watch; how the queue for the candidature keeps getting longer - filled-in by the well-known crooks - as the election approaches?
Pl. ponder on this: If a Common Crook is allowed to look after his business from an ordinary prison-cell; just imagine the facilities provided to the Elite-Crooks for looking after a country!
Of course, EM 'must' be right.....the billions that disappeaared from PRETOBAIZ during the PT reign , were stolen by people outside of their government...I'd just like to know how that happened....Reekie, please enlighten me.....
@:o))
IF Lula goes to prison, which I seriously doubt - even after all his appeals are thrown out -
his 12 year sentence will be considered served after he completes 1/6th of it....provided he behaves himself....hasn't this been the rule for all the others involved in this imaginary 'rape' of PRETOBAIZ ???
@:o))
the 'toad' , if imprisoned, will no doubt have a beautifully decorated cell - with a pool, an elevator (to take him to hell, perhaps ?), a gourmet kitchen, a big screen TV to watch his radical MST followers block highways and destroy property, a bar full of 51, plus a phone to carry on his work as supreme leader of the PT criminal organization.
@:o))
Right, he's ALREADY crapping himself....on the morning of the 24th, surrounded by his ignorant , commie followers, he stated he was not afraid of the outcome of the trial, and that he was convinced he would be aquitted.
After he heard the sentence, he changed his tune, alleging that he had never had any doubt that he would be convicted....and then broke down, crying...ooooh, poooor little thing.
A master at saying one thing today, then denying it tomorrow....but it's no use, there are videos of the 'before' and 'after'.
