...I don't think people actually like corruption, Patrick. If those countries are accepting the help then presumably what they wish is to get rid of it.

    What is your problem?

I know your heart aches because the Brits kicked the invasion forces of the Argentine South Atlantic Empire off of the Falkland Islands in 1982 but you can't hold a grudge for the rest of your life - grow up.

The question is why is this piece appearing in Mercopenguin, a British government propaganda organ supposedly devoted to America, South America and the “South Atlantic”?

Lynn - So El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala are no longer in America? I don't know where you are from but, clearly, geography seems to be your weak spot!
When I was in El Salvador just a few weeks ago it was clearly in America - still is today!

It's the same @Voice, the ones that matter are all buzzing around London !
No @Darragh, I'm just tired of always reading Britain's interest and affairs outside of their own country, always pedantically being about their judgmental wishes to influence or coerce things to the way they want to see them be. You guys don't like anybody, you just want everyone to do “something” differently to the way they are doing it now.
As it turns out, we all came to this planet to make our nations and share it equally. And equally means we all have the same worth and all our ideas are as important as the next guys. The world ought not to be about domination, it ought to be about getting it right. And getting it right together. Not by some doing what others want, nor having an easy ride just following others by being their “biggest fans”

What a load of twaddle ! According to you, the UK is the only country in the world trying to push its own interests. Russia and China are faultless?. Every country in the world is trying to push their own interests to the outside world....even your beloved Argentina.
    .
Patrick, you are SO BIASED against the UK that your comments are worthless in any rational debate.

How many times do I (and others on here) have to tell you that I'm Irish not British.

    Do try and keep up!!

You accuse the British of being 'judgemental', surely then when you say “You guys don't like anybody, you just want everyone to do “something” differently to the way they are doing it now” you are being what you pretend to decry i.e. judgemental. You can't have it both ways.

“Judge not, that ye be not judged”. (Matthew, 7:1)

“For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again”. (Matthew, 7:2)

You say “The world ought not to be about domination it ought to be about getting it right. And getting it right together” yet you support Argentina's attempts to dominate the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, the South Sandwich Islands and half of Antarctica..

If you want to pretend that you don't support those claims then surely, with regard to “getting it right together” you must believe that Argentina should apologise to the Falkland Islanders and the UK for the death and destruction caused when Argentina tried to expand it's South Atlantic Empire and even pay reparations particularly to the families of those killed and maimed.

“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” (Matthew, 7:3)

Your last sentence is incomprehensible, I've no idea what you are talking about.

Everything is about dominion and having things... and owning things to you people !! THE WORLD IS NOT YOURS TO DECIDE UPON AND HAVE FIRST DIBS OK? IT NEVER WAS. IT BELONGS TO ALL 8 BILLION OF US EQUALLY.
I never once said the islands are Argentine, OK? I don´t support that Argentina simply have the islands, end of story. My interest and desire is to see a territorial resolution to all matters that gives justice to Argentina after 186 years of patient peaceful and diplomatic resolve about this dispute in always approached Great Britain in all civility to talk over. I´m sick and tired of these lingering falsehoods. In Italy we say “Good balances, lengthy friendships”.
Get those lines drawn in Antarctica between Britain Argentina and Chile once and for all, resolve the Falkland Malvinas archipelago simultaneous claims crap and lets finish this crap ! I hate falsities. And Britain is the master of them, invading with one hand and soliciting friendship with the other. Split the islands in Argentinian and Falklander, make a protectorate territory around an independent archipelago, equally accessible in equality by both Britian and Argentina for crying out loud you greedy pigs !

You say “IT BELONGS TO ALL 8 BILLION OF US EQUALLY. ” (in upper case I note, the literary way of shouting). Really? then why do you and Argentina so covet the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, South Sandwich Islands, Antarctica etc and what about the indigenous tribes of South America are you working on their behalf to get their 'DIBS'?

As per usual you don't answer questions

You say “I never once said the islands are Argentine, OK? I don´t support that Argentina simply have the islands, end of story.”.. so therefore I repeat my question

“with regard to “getting it right together” you must believe that Argentina should apologise to the Falkland Islanders and the UK for the death and destruction caused when Argentina tried to expand it's South Atlantic Empire and even pay reparations particularly to the families of those killed and maimed” do you agree or not?

You say “My interest and desire is to see a territorial resolution to all matters that gives justice to Argentina after 186 years of patient peaceful and diplomatic resolve about this dispute in always approached Great Britain in all civility to talk over”

You call a military invasion resulting in the deaths of nearly a thousand people not to mention millions of pounds in destruction and people being maimed for life “approaching Great Britain in all civility” do you?

Why should the Falkland Islands be split between the Falkland Islanders and Argentina? The Falkland Islanders are entitled to self-determination and voted overwhelmingly in a referendum a few years ago to retain their links with the UK. Why can Argentina not accept their rights to self-determination?. Why does Argentina regard the Falkland Islanders to be of no account?

You say “you hate falsities”, if that is the case then you would not support the Argentine claims at all as they are clearly based on 200 year old falsities.

You finally accuse the British as being “Greedy Pigs” - surely you're not being 'judgemental' are you?
