United States abandons UN Human Rights Council, “an organization not worthy of its name”

The United States is leaving the United Nations’ Human Rights Council, US envoy to the UN Nikki Haley announced on Tuesday, calling it “an organization that is not worthy of its name”, and marking the latest withdrawal by the Trump administration from an international institution.     According to most analysts the main reason the US is pulling out is the continuous pressure by the AIPAC, (American-Israeli Political Action Committee) that dominates US Middle East policy because of the large number of accusations of Israeli Crimes Against Humanity presented to the Committee every year

    Agree with Ben Madison and Brit Bob...a sensible decision. The UN and all its branches has just become a forum for countries which contribute nothing, to voice their (many times) unreasonable complaints against those who keep it going (financially).
