The Falklands Islands Government has begun work on developing a comprehensive Public Health Strategy. The purpose of this work is to help people stay healthy as long as possible and reduce ill health by enabling everyone to make healthier choices in their lives. Read full article

The Falklands have become awash and rapidly submerging under a deluge of “Strategies” and “Policies” - and more and more department heads - but bugger all “Action”.

Much more effective to put say a 50%(or more) Import Duty on such foods - with all that income clearly identified in the Treasury and accruing each year to a reserve Health Service Fund to pay for the oversize beds and hospital facilities and Type 2 diabetes controls etc.

Just make it “User Pays”.
