Disclaimer & comment rulesIt goes both ways - agricultural subsidies in the EU are also a massive obstacle for European free trade with South America. At least our soil is productive and our Ag sector competitive. The real plight is in Africa where subsidized agricultural exports from the EU have destroyed local agriculture - a problem Oxfam has been talking about since the 1990s. If European leaders don't want to deal with refugees then they should consider offering real, free and fair trade to Africa.
