There is no surprise here, because this parliament is the most wretched collection of mendacious self-servers, unconvicted criminals, freeloaders, sexual deviants and morally destitute poseurs assembled in the Palace of Westminster since 1653, and it is no longer material which way or how they vote, abstain, waffle, equivocate, and delay.”
To steal a bit from Lewis Carroll, with a a few minor corrections:
The time has come, the [Eurocrat] Walrus said,
To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings.
But wait a bit, the [British] Oysters cried,
Before we have our chat;
For some of us are out of breath,
And all of us are fat!
No hurry! said the [Eurocrat] Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that.
