Miguel Angel Pichetto was born in Buenos Aires and moved to the Patagonian province of Río Negro early in his career. He was first elected in 1983 as a Councilor of Sierra Grande, then mayor (85/87) and later a provincial lawmaker.

ExxonMobil said on Tuesday it will proceed with a long-term oil and natural gas development project on a block in Argentina, targeting the Vaca Muerta shale play. The striated caracara named “Louie”, sparked a search of nearby Regent’s Park which left picnickers stunned by the sight of zookeepers waving around a dead rat on a stick in an attempt to coax it back.
