Argentina expanding LNG pipeline from Vaca Muerta to Buenos Aires
Argentina on Wednesday launched an international tender for a multibillion-dollar pipeline to transport natural gas from the Vaca Muerta shale formation in the western part of the country to capital Buenos Aires. Bids will be opened on September 12.

Brazil's central bank cuts main interest rate to 6%, confident of “reforms' process”
Brazil's central bank slashed interest rates to a record low on Wednesday in response to the worsening outlook for Latin America's biggest economy. The bank cut its main rate to 6% from the previous historic low of 6.5%, which had been unchanged since March 2018.

A delegation of five members of the United States Congress is in Gibraltar for a two day visit. This follows the trip to Washington by Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Joseph Garcia earlier this year. The visit has been organized through the United Kingdom under the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act (MECEA) scheme.

Shortage of HIV medication for patients under state-run health care in Argentina causes grave concern
