As a humble owner of some interesting timepieces..., I would like to advice any traveller anyvhere NOT to wear them publicly outside their Comfort Zone...
All seem to indicate that the latest victim in Argentina was already chosen at the airport because of such...
Ergo..., when traveling...: No to watches..., no to jewelry..., no to Chanel..., Fendi..., Hermes..., Louis Vuitton or Gucci bags... , no to 1,500€ smartphones for googlemapping the streets..., yes to common sense...
I've never understood why people spend so much money on those things. Aren't you worried it'll get lost or broken every time you wear it, let alone the risk of theft?
Nothing happened to us in BA, but to be fair it was crawling with police at the time and the motochorros had followed the advice to take a holiday.
