The Argentine Ministry of Economy extended until June 2 the term to renegotiate the US$ 67 billion of debt securities issued under foreign law, with the aim of continuing negotiations with creditors.

This was announced by the ministry led by Martín Guzmán through a statement, in which it described that “he extended for an additional period the expiration of the invitation he made to the holders” to exchange their Eligible Bonds for new debt securities.

In this way, the closing of the negotiation period, which was scheduled for Friday at 17:00 New York City time, was moved to Tuesday, June 2.

The Palacio de Hacienda specified that if the negotiation is finally closed on June 2, the announcement of the results will be made on Wednesday, June 3 and the Settlement Date, as defined in the Supplement to the Exchange Prospectus, will be on 8 June 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter.
