Discovery of life beneath Antarctica's ice shelves

Far underneath the ice shelves of the Antarctic, there’s more life than expected, finds a recent study in the journal Frontiers in Marine Science, published this week. During an exploratory survey, researchers drilled through 900 m of ice in the Filchner-Ronne Ice Shelf, situated on the South-Eastern Weddell Sea.

Argos Pereira Peruvian crew member hospitalized in Montevideo

Covid-19: Argentina's death toll reached 50,327 on Monday

Argentina's Health Ministry on Monday said 91 COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours have raised the country's total death toll to 50,327. According to the ministry, tests have detected 3,259 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the nationwide count to 2,029,057.
