The British charity “Help for Heroes” has done a poll to mark the 40th anniversary of the Falkland Islands conflict and the report on results is astonishing to the point that the South Atlantic war risks becoming a “forgotten war” since many of the people polled have no idea about events. Wonder how he feels 'bout that 4 yards of 3/4” galvanized water pipe flagpole in this article's picture...?
Chuckle..., chuckle..., rechuckle...
Inferiority complex
Swede
Take a look at the picture. Why are Argentine flags often so absurdly big compared with the flagpole? It looks quite grotesque. North Korea displays a super big flag at the border, but the flagpole is adapted to that size. In Argentina the flags are often half the hight of the flagpole.
“Wonder how he feels 'bout that 4 yards of 3/4” galvanized water pipe flagpole in this article's picture...?”

Yes, I wrote that. Even the flagpole is absurd. It is too weak for that oversized flag. A flag that size requires a much higher pole and also a more stable one. But it is perhaps symbolizing Argentina's much talk, little workshop when it comes to the Malvinas cause.

Mar 29th, 2022 - 07:07 pm - Link - Report abuse +1I dont know if forgotten war its the appropiate expression. I think they must take a list to remember of all wars the've been involved in the past 50 years. And i thought that this century would be a very peacefull one.

Unlike Argentina, it is seen as a footnote in Britain. Also, propaganda and newthink is not taught in the UK.

Capisce...?
You know that’s very much incorrect, haven’t you heard of the Edward Colston statue being toppled in the UK by a large amount of people? Everyone knows of Britain’s imperial past and we don’t sugarcoat it anymore, so stop assuming everyone in the UK is either brainwashed or retarded.
Mar 30th, 2022 - 10:07 am - Link - Report abuse +3We all know the Brainwashed and retarded ones are Argies anyway.

Mar 30th, 2022 - 10:53 am - Link - Report abuse +1It seems rather pointless as neither exist anymore. Otherwise, they would be just like Argentina, going nowhere fast.
As they were one of the first nations to outlaw slavery, and it had never been allowed in the UK.
While there are no more colonies to decolonize. Since they have brought independence to more territories than any other nation.

The regaining of said territories and the full exercise of sovereignty, while respecting the lifestyle of their inhabitants, and in conformity with principles of international law, constitute a permanent and unwaivable objective of the Argentine people.”

Wænk, did you know that there are over 40 000 000 slaves in the world today? Most of them are in Africa, a sizeable amount in Asia and more than a few in South America? You bang on about imperialism and slavery and yet you seem blind to what is happening around you today.

- If I were to believe the local telly..., there ain't any shortage of them here in Europe...
- A fresh supply of blonde, blue eyed young women and kids seem to be readily available thanks to the above mentioned Anglospheres war raunchiness...
Capisce...?
I don’t even know why this guy thinks naval exercises to keep crews trained are “hectic” or some sort of sabre-rattling exercise when we are literally keeping our navies trained. Oh wait, training and naval exercises are something Argentina never does. That’s why they complain that a regular naval exercise is war-posturing.
