It would be unwise for the islanders to lower their defences.

Especially with a rabid dog next door...and usual idiots like Trimonde ready to be “tricked”

Argentina must take the first steps. Stop always talking about the “illegitimate” or even “illegal” F.I.G. Stop using offensive toponyms (“Puerto Argentino” is the most flagrant). Stop indoctrinating school children with “malvinism”. Remove the “Malvinas” from the Constitution. And many many more things. Then, there could be negotiations to improve the relations and in the end a peace treaty ending all claims to each others territories.

They are obsessed with the FI solely to keep eyes off the real troubles in their country that they continually mismanage. And to be fair the UN is not doing it's job by not allowing us the right to self-determination and telling Argentina and its cronies to sod off. But then there are snakes in the grass in the UN too!

@Ratamacue, you have hit the nail on the head, their economy is screwed and they are up to their neck in debt so all they do is indoctrinate the public with nonsense hoping to deflect from their own incompetence in running the country,
