Please tell me where in that report does it even mention child abuse? This story is about stopping children from being habitual persistent offenders. If you’re naive enough to think no pedophiles exist in your community. Then how nice for you.

The RFIP are trying to discourage young people from getting involved in crime. It's fairly simple. The amount of crime in the Falklands is pretty low, but it would be better if it was zero. Is that a bad thing?

Having been in the Falklands for 2.5 years out of the last 5, and having Falkland Islanders in my family. One thing is clear to me those that knock the place, don’t understand what has been built under extremely difficult circumstances. When faced with a hostile neighbour. That resilience will set the islands in good stead. If that I’m certain.

I've met ex-conscripts and listened to what they have to say and they all pretty much said the same thing, “Sorry”. I have even sat in on interviews (in the Upland Goose) and listened as the ex-conscripts tell their media the facts. Unfortunately, most of those who visit Mercopress and FB are incapable of dealing with truths, facts and history, that I know only too well. But it doesn't mean we can sit back and let them get on with it. Bless them!
