The British House of Commons Defense Committee urged the Government to devise a plan to boost the UK arms industry after a shortage in ammunition was reported due to constant assistance to Ukraine since the Russian invasion a little over a year ago. The House of Commons defense committee also warned that the UK's ammunition stockpile had dropped to a point that it jeopardized the country's security. Read full article

Disclaimer & comment rulesI am happy Zelensky is a best friend of Putin, because he helps him to deplete the ammo of Nato and the so called collective west... Now any country with a good trained army can attack eg EU and win, because the armaments of this axis of evil is so low with arms... Any muslim country like Egypt, Pakistan, even Indonesia would be able to overthrow Brussels. Go, Zelensky, go, wow, wow, wow...

If this war goes on much longer Lithuania will be able to invade Russia and capture Moscow.
Mar 08th, 2023 - 02:06 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The Russians are pulling T62 tanks out of storage to replace battlefield losses, where they can only produce about 20 new Tanks a month, which can be destroyed in less than a day.
Really, T62s on a modern battlefield, just as the Ukrainians get NATO MBTs!
Head of the Wagner Group says if they don’t get more ammunition soon the whole Bakhmut sector of the front could collapse.
And they still haven’t captured Bakhmut, despite months of trying and very heavy casualties. And now everything turns to mud in that part of the world.
But don’t worry, unfettered by any sanction the UK/US/EU will soon ramp up weapons production capacity, indeed they already are.

Some people just don't get it
But don’t worry, unfettered by any sanction the UK/US/EU will soon ramp up weapons production capacity, indeed they already are..
The UK and US/EU have been running at full capacity for many months, its not enough, Working an extra shift does not cut itt.
They cannot supply Ukraine with the required artillery shells without depleting their own stocks
In the case of the UK and EU they need to build factories and train skilled labour plus build extra storage facilities,
As the article states they need a significant increase in defence spending and a PLAN....
Another barrage of Russian missiles and drones fired at Ukraine, fired on mass in an attempt to overwhelm Ukrainian air defences (which didn’t exist a year ago) which is shooting down 90% of them.

Three weeks since the last mass attack because it takes them long to assemble that many missiles and get more drones from Iran. More than enough time for the Ukrainians to have completely repaired their power system.
Going forward, a few missiles a month actually hitting a real target is not going to bring Ukraine to its knees.
Oh and apparently the Russians are now firing artillery shells manufactured last October, when this began they were firing shells made years ago, also they are using four times the amount of shells that the Ukrainians are.
And still Bakhmut holds out.
