Let's not forget that this was once one of the richest country in the world.Why on earth would any group of people given a free choice, which the Falklanders have, choose to join such a failed, broken nation that has consistently squandered its superb natural resources and repeatedly betrayed its own people?

@ border rover. Because in a short time the Argentine people will understand that it is not possible to live in this way, with corrupt politicians. If we manage to understand this, in 30-35 years Argentina is a power.

Where we will still disagree is its the same corrupt politicians that have made up the Malvinas grievance to distract the public from its corruption.
I hope in 30-35 years Argentina is a power, and has developed a respectful and dignified relationship with the islanders.
Who knows in 100 years they may even want to join you.
Why would they change now? For the past 100+ years the Argentine public has elected governments that have failed them. No signs that the general populus is thinking any different from ever they have. Very sad really given ther potential the country has.
