Brazil’s Federal Police (PF) Wednesday arrested two suspects in Sao Paulo in connection with plans to stage “terrorist acts” against the Jewish community in the South American country. Lula’s arrest is “a gift from the CIA”, mocked Lava Jato prosecutor
Moro and Dallagnol have been accused of “treason” for their illegal collusion with United States authorities. In 2017, deputy US attorney general Kenneth Blanco boasted at an Atlantic Council event of informal (illegal) collaboration with Brazilian prosecutors on the Lula case, citing it as a success story. ...
On April 5, 2018, the day Lula was arrested by Moro, prosecutor Isabel Grobba revealed the news: “Moro orders Lula to be arrested,” head of the Lava Jato task force Dallagnol replied:

“Put the US attorneys to work” (against Lula): Sergio Moro caught in new scandal
Supreme Court Minister Ricardo Lewandowski has lifted the confidentiality on conversations between prosecutors from Operation Lava Jato and ex-judge Sergio Moro, which were captured via a hack of the Telegram messaging platform in 2018
The new conversations were released to former President Lula’s defence team.
The material, ... which revealed Sergio Moro coaching the Lava Jato task force on how to present the case of the so called triplex in Guarujá, alleged to have belonged to former president Lula, for maximum political impact. It was the case which was used to keep Lula out of the 2018 election, which he was on course to easily win according to polls.
The latest release further emphasises that the Lava Jato Task force was acting concertedly against Lula, Dilma Rousseff, and the Workers Party, during the entire coup period between the 2014 and 2018 elections. This was happening in collaboration with U.S. government agencies and its expanded state.

Nov 11th, 2023 - 07:26 pm - Link - Report abuse -1It's so clear you have nothing of value to say, so you repeat old, worn out mantras, such as that the nine-fingered crook is innocent....not so, after having annulled the cases against him - thanks to the Supreme Court Justices in the PT's pocket - they simply released him.
The proof is still valid, but the cases will never be tried again, as he has ecaped prosecution due to his age......he was never declared innocent by the Court.....but, since you like to believe, and allege he was, pls show us proof....NOTE : don't use the PT's or other radical left sites' versions of the fact.....use the site of the Federal Supreme Court.
I have asked you more than once, but you refuse to comply - perhaps you can't, unless you keep on lying ?
The more you insist that he was innocent, you further confirm what a stubborn, ignorant twit you are...
Anyhow, as YOU like to gloat that you are a legal scholar, it is surprising that you choose to ignore the principle that evidence obtained illegally, i.e., the hacked / leaked conversations between Moro and the prosecutors, cannot be used as proof against anyone. But the left, to get what they want, will ignore anything.
Just fyi, Brasil Wire is one of those unreliable, lying, lefty sites I refer to, above.
The proof is still valid, as he has escaped prosecution due to his age....
Nov 11th, 2023 - 10:55 pm - Link - Report abuse -1It sure is Ollie, the conspiracy of US illegal acts with the Lava Jato task force. The explicit complicity of a judge and a prosecutor are all undeniably proven.

You choose to ignore the principle that evidence obtained illegally,
No You deliberately chose to ignore, that they were not excludable evidence.
Brazil’s Supreme Court rules judge Moro was biased in Lula corruption trial
Brazil’s Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that former judge Sergio Moro was biased in the way he oversaw former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s corruption trial, providing vindication for the leftist leader who has long claimed political persecution.
With their 3-2 decision on Tuesday, the justices prohibited evidence gathered in the Car Wash probe about da Silva’s alleged ownership of a triplex in the beach town of Guaruja from being used in any eventual trial.

So this is your childish reply, unable to contest my statement : - It sure is Ollie, the conspiracy of US illegal acts with the Lava Jato task force.....
Ok, what conspiracy ? Since when IS IT ILLEGAL for foreign government agencies to cooperate in criminal cases ? NEVER !.....No conspiracy, just the ugly truth, so much so, that Petrobras actually paid billions in indemnity to American investors due to the criminal management of the company during the crook's and Dilma's, administrations.
Face it Ollie, your idol is just a crook.
Brazil’s Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that former judge Sergio Moro was biased in the way he oversaw former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s corruption trial.........
...was biased.... Really ? so following the money trail is a biased strategy ?....since when ? Since the lefties had to desperately invent lies about his involvement as head of the criminal organization that almost broke the company (and caused the worst recession Brazil has ever known), in order to get him released ?
Where is your proof of bias ? Search all you want, you won't find any, just like you won't find anything in the STF site confirming the crook was declared innocent.....as a matter of fact, you continually, and conveniently, ignore my request that you show proof.
Great legal scholar you are - not.......just like all your allegations that you actually served in the RAF...pathetic.
You, like all lefties, need to lie as you are all incapable of accepting the facts.
what “conspiracy” ? Since when IS IT ILLEGAL for foreign government agencies to cooperate in criminal cases ? NEVER !.

A group of House Democrats is demanding answers from Attorney General Merrick Garland about the US Justice Department’s role in Brazil’s wide-ranging anti-corruption probe, known as Operation Car Wash, or Lava Jato in Portugese. In a letter, obtained by The Nation, that was sent to Garland today, 23 House Democrats, led by Georgia Representative Hank Johnson, renewed concerns over the secretive collaboration between the US Justice Department and Brazilian officials in Lava Jato, which led to the wrongful imprisonment of former president Luis Inácio Lula da Silva and paved the way for far-right nationalist Jair Bolsonaro to win the presidency.

LEAKED CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN Brazilian officials reveal the inner workings of a secretive collaboration with the U.S. Department of Justice on a sprawling anti-corruption effort known as Operation Car Wash. The chats, analyzed in partnership with the Brazilian investigative news outlet Agência Pública, show that the Brazilians were extremely accommodating to their U.S. partners, going out of their way to facilitate their involvement in ways that may have violated international legal treaties and Brazilian law.

And the Intercept”, again ? we also know all about Greenwald's love for lefties ..
For as long as you refuse to recognize the truth (that can be found in reliable, non-leftie sites), your ignorance, like that of most lefties, guided by ideology, will continue to be your trademark.
in ways that may have violated international legal treaties and Brazilian law.”....in ways that MAY have violated.... just a euphemism for they didn't.
And what's more, no one or no institution intervened in Brazil's domestic jurisdiction.....Brazil requested help from several foreign institutions because they became aware that Odebrecht had foreign servers where all the information regarding their Bribery Dept. was kept....just google Odebrecht's Bribe Dept in Switzerland, and others .
You choose to ignore the very essence of the problem, that corruption did indeed exist (by using Petrobras), at levels never seen before (R$ 12 billion were returned, only a portion of the total stolen), involving most of the top ranking members of the PT, including nine-fingers.
If there was no corruption, I still can't understand why several Odebrecht directors confessed to the bribery, and a few from Petrobras confessed to receiving USD millions ...why would they confess, or why return millions if they had been earned honestly ?..... even Emilio Odebrecht willingly confessed (that on the last day of nine-finger's 2nd term) he advised the crook that a confidential USD 100 million account had been opened for him in the Bribery Dept., to be used at his pleasure, for all the 'favours' granted to Odebrecht during his 2nd term. But of course, the crook denounced Emilio, saying he (nine-fingers) was the the most honest man on Earth......
Am still waiting for the proof that STF declared nine-fingers was innocent.....
..he was never declared innocent by the Court... what “conspiracy” ? Since when IS IT ILLEGAL for foreign government agencies to cooperate in criminal cases ?
Nov 14th, 2023 - 06:37 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I never claimed they he was. But, nonetheless, it was was the best possible outcome, for him. As the corrupt magistrate's determination was overturned.
No quid pro quo was ever found in any of the evidence in any of the files. So, the cases have all been closed and Lula now stands as an innocent man
We were able to prove in the Supreme Court of Brazil that there was international cooperation outside of official channels between Brazilian and foreign authorities, including some U.S. authorities. This type of situation disrespects the bilateral agreement signed between Brazil and the United States, which provides for specific procedures for international cooperation, and those procedures weren’t followed.

”Moro and Moreno-Taxman were key figures in Operation Lava Jato. Publicly presented as a crusading anti-corruption effort heralding a new dawn in Brazil, in which democracy and the rule of law reigned supreme, in reality, it was a fraud directed by the CIA, FBI, and U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ). The objective was to destroy the country’s most profitable companies and prevent the left from retaking power.

YOU : I never claimed they he was. But, nonetheless, it was was the best possible outcome, for him.......Sure was, the 'best outcome'....for him....after all, he was just a convicted criminal that screwed Brazil.
Seems you love to humiliate yourself.....
See, on 31st Oct 2022, Lula is back as president of Brazil after narrowly defeating Bolsonaro
My post : ...Totally ignoring what you can't explain...such as the R$ 6 billion returned by convicted thieves”.
Your reply : Nor do I have to as my remit is to defend a very obvious innocent man from political persecution...........
Very naive of you F*ckwitt.....my remit is to defend a VERY OBVIOUS INNOCENT MAN... To me, sounds a lot like you're claiming he is innocent.
See, on 24th Oct 2023 Bullrich will defend her values but her coalition is mortally wounded.
YOU, on Oct 30th, 10:43 : He was properly exonerated by the legal system, when Moro's corruption was revealed....
...properly exonerated by the legal system.......hardly, as even you go on in a later post - Nov 1st, 07:08 - saying ”Like I said previously, they (the STF) created a technical reason ...(to release him)...a 'technical' reason......yeah sure....their decision : simply abolish previous, sound jurisprudence ; Their motive: to benefit nine-fingers, so that the crook could walk.
A 'decision' and a 'motive', both condemned by Brazil's top jurists.
Leftists, and the PT love to talk about Moro's corruption....corruption ? total BS, he followed the money trail and found damning proof.
On Oct 31st, 10:13, I wrote The Supreme Court NEVER declared him “innocent”.
You replied, on Oct 31st, 10:13 : No judicial body ever makes that determination, it's either guilty or not guilty....
Right, and they NEVER declared him not guilty...(or acquitted, which would mean impossible to convict, or perhaps” innocent ?)... Just semantics to me
