    Former Argentine President Alberto Fernández's apartment in the exclusive Puerto Madero neighborhood of Buenos Aires was raided Friday as a part of the gender violence probe launched on him following the complaint filed by his ex-common-law spouse Fabiola Yáñez. Fernández's cell phone and every other electronic device found on the premises were seized.

    Maduro brings electoral documents to TSJ

    Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro Friday delivered to the Supreme Court (TSJ) the electoral records in possession of the parties that supported his candidacy in the July 28 elections, Agencia Brasil reported. The TSJ is conducting an investigation at Maduro's request after the opposition cried “fraud” and insisted Edmundo González Urrutia had been the winner.

    Maria de Fátima Mendonça Jacinto Souza, aged 67 and better known as Fátima de Tubarão, was sentenced Friday to 17 years in prison by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) for her involvement in the Jan. 8, 2023, riots at the Three Powers Square in Brasília (DF). The sentence was announced Friday after an STF virtual plenary session.
