The railway line connecting Beijing to Tehran is in full swing. Rare earths, crystal ceramics and essential parts for the manufacture of hypersonic missiles.

So the Strait of Hormuz can be blocked (just sink some old oil tankers in the area) and it won't hinder the progress of the war against Israel. As for Haffa and Ashdod, if they are bombed, they will leave Israel literally isolated. Eilat is already suffering from the Houthis' “blockade”.

    Meanwhile, in the real world…….

Any attempt by Iran to block the straights of Hormuz will certainly bring the US and others into the conflict, just as it did when Iran tried it during the Iran/Iraq war.

However this time it will be a free fire zone, they will probably destroy most of Iran’s navy and costal missile batteries before they can fire a shot.

There is no good outcome for Iran in this, their proxies in the region have been all but destroyed, it’s a straight fight between Israel and Iran.

The Israelis are already switching from military to economic targets, wont be long before Iran’s critical infrastructure looks like Gaza’s and nothing the Iranians can do about it.

Meanwhile Russia probably won’t be getting any more drones for use in Ukraine from Iran, although they can now manufacture their own, but using precious war resources needed elsewhere, every little helps.
