Pope Francis was discharged from Rome's Gemelli Clinic Sunday after a 37-day hospitalization following a respiratory ailment. He will continue his recuperation at the Santa Marta Residence, Vatican sources said. Although the 88-year-old pontiff’s life was in danger at times, he was never intubated and remained alert throughout, it was also explained.

While Russia is substituting imported components for its Superjet SJ-100, the Shanghai-based Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac) announced an increase in productivity for its C-919 narrowbody model, with an output of 50 units expected this year and 200 by 2029. At a conference in Xian, Comac also said 100 new aircraft would be available in 2026 after new funding worth US$ 4.7 billion was injected into the program.

UK Ambassador in Uruguay ok after falling from horse

The United Kingdom's Ambassador to Uruguay Malcolm Green was reported to have sustained only minor bruises and a head injury after falling off his horse during the Patria Gaucha parade in Tacuarembó. He was initially treated at a local facility, where a CT scan ruled out any serious physical damage, and later transferred to Montevideo for further treatment at the British Hospital.
