    Dengue positive cases in Argentina double in a week

    The 28,235 cases compare with the 16.143 cases which had been made in the previous epidemiologic report for the 19/26 March week.

    According to public health numbers from the Health Ministry, mosquito-transmitted Dengue cases in Argentina have grown exponentially, reaching 28,235 which represents a 74% increase over the previous epidemiological report.

    A group of Argentine war veterans Monday filed a petition before Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero to dismiss former Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Mario Foradori from the country's diplomatic corps for “having acted recklessly” in the conclusion, in 2016, of the joint declaration known as the Foradori-Duncan agreement to the “detriment of the interests of the Argentine Republic relating to the Malvinas question.”

    More dramatic estimates from Argentine agriculture and soy crop

    The latest estimate points to a drop of 6.6 million tons in Argentine soy production. The previous harvest year was 43 million tons.

    The Safras & Mercado consultancy revised Argentina's soybeans production estimate for 2022/2023 of some 24.8 million tons, dramatically down from the previous forecast in March of 31.4 million tons.
