Falklands' new waste management scheme gets the green light

The revised scheme for the new Waste Management Facility has been approved by the Planning and Building Committee. The new plans are for a waste management facility including a household waste tipping area, a public waste center, an incinerator with a 30-meter high chimney and ash collection bay, and a waste storage area.

Type 21 frigates' crews monument at San Carlos prepared for Falklands' 40th anniversary

Falklands-based sailors tidied up the monument to crews of Type 21 frigates ahead of next year’s 40th anniversary of the conflict. A team of seven personnel who support the United Kingdom operations in the South Atlantic climbed Campito Hill which dominates nearby San Carlos Water – scene of several days of a bitter battle between the liberating fleet and Argentine aircraft in May 1982.

Former Mendoza Deputy chosen for Argentina's Malvinas Secretariat

After Argentine President, Alberto Fernández appointed Daniel Filmus as Science Minister, the position of Malvinas Islands Secretary had been vacant until Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero announced Friday he had chosen former Mendoza National Deputy Guillermo Carmona for the job.
