  Kirsty Hayes, British ambassador in Buenos Aires admitted that relations between Argentina and UK have been “complex”, and London has always made efforts to improve them, but ”there will be no sovereignty discussions on Falklands' sovereignty because what is most important is not our (British) perception or that of Argentina but the Falkland Islanders opinion.”

  Repair ship RFA Diligence, involved in Falklands and Gulf wars, sold to Turkey

  

  The Portsmouth media has reported that RFA Diligence, a Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship previously involved in the Falklands and Gulf conflicts, has arrived in Turkey after being sold for recycling by the UK Defense Equipment Sales Authority (DESA).

  World Penguin Day: 9 out of 18 species breed in UK Overseas Territories, RSPB report

  

  April 25 is World Penguin Day, from the impressive 1.2m tall Emperor Penguins of the British Antarctic Territory to the smaller, agile Southern Rockhopper Penguins of the Falkland Islands – nine out of 18 penguin species breed in the UK Overseas and British Antarctic Territories. Follows a report from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, RSPB.

  Falklands' KEM Hospital modernization includes improvement of Pathology Laboratories

  

  Following the approval by the Falkland Islands Executive Council (ExCo) on Tuesday 23 April 2024, the Directorate of Health and Social Service (DHSS) and the Public Works Department (PWD), are delighted to announce that the Phase 1 of the redevelopment of the Pathology Laboratories at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) will begin this initiative.
