  Canada's largest private sector project: US$ 32bn LNG export terminal

  

  A major US$ 31.9bn liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Canada has received the go-ahead from its partners. The project is a joint venture between Royal Dutch Shell, Malaysia's Petronas, PetroChina, Korea Gas Corporation, and Japan's Mitsubishi Corporation. It is the single largest private sector investment project in Canada's history.

  Argentina names 100th combatant buried in the Falklands; two graves mystery

  

  Argentina's Human Rights Secretary announced on Tuesday the full name of the 100th combatant fallen during the 1982 South Atlantic conflict and whose remains are buried at the Argentine military cemetery in the Falkland Islands, where for over 36 years they remained unidentified with only a white cross and a black marble tombstone reading, “Argentine soldier, only known to God”.

  Two “Bloody Sunday” families have been awarded compensations

  

  The families of two men shot dead on Bloody Sunday, January 1972, have been awarded a combined £700,000 in compensation. The family of Gerard McKinney, a 35-year-old father-of-eight, who was shot dead at Abbey Park in Londonderry, were awarded £625,000. Michael McDaid, 20, was killed near a barricade in Rossville Street. His family received £75,000.
