  US/Argentina incident stalled: “we are waiting for a satisfactory response”

  

  After the US Department of State official Philip Crowley tweeted that his country “wanted his (seized) stuff back,” the Argentine Foreign Ministry issued Wednesday a press statement in which it assured that it still awaits “a satisfactory response” to the formal complaint sent to the US embassy.

  Libya: Peru cuts links; Cuba, Venezuela support Gadaffi, blame “imperialist states”

  

  Peru announced it has suspended diplomatic relations with Libya over the use of force against civilians there. It is the first country to take such a step since the anti-government protests erupted in Libya last week.

  Argentine yacht calls in Stanley en route to Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires

  

  A yacht flying the Argentine flag and on route to Mar del Plata from Ushuaia called in the Falkland Islands last Friday.
  The ‘Shaman’ yacht arrived in Stanley from Tierra del Fuego on a short visit with a crew of two: the owner who is also the captain and his partner.
