  Brazil reinstates task force to tackle climate change

  

  Brazil's Environment Minister Marina Silva was joined by US Presidential Envoy John Kerry when she announced on Tuesday that the government of Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva was creating a working group to tackle the effects of climate change by focusing on the fight against deforestation in the Amazon and the defense of indigenous peoples, Agencia Brasil reported.

  Iranian warships dock in Rio de Janeiro until March 4

  

  Two Iranian warships have been cleared to dock at Rio de Janeiro during the weekend despite pressure from the United States, it was reported. The warships IRIS Makran and IRIS Dena arrived Sunday morning, Rio's port authority said in a statement.

  Ecuador, Belgium sign cooperation deal against drug trafficking
