    Macri on a state visit to India condemns terrorism and signs ten agreements

    Indian PM Narendra Modi and Argentine President Mauricio Macri, held bilateral talks on Monday in New Delhi and strongly condemned terrorism.

    India and Argentina inked ten agreements including in defense, agriculture, space, pharmaceuticals, Antarctic cooperation, agriculture, IT and nuclear cooperation. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Argentine President Mauricio Macri, accompanied by a high-level official delegation and around 100 top industry representatives of Argentine companies held bilateral talks on Monday.

    Macri arrived in India on Saturday and was first flown to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal. From there to New Dehli ahead of  round of political contacts on Monday

    Emiliano Sala’s body back in Argentina for funeral in his hometown

    Sala was killed when a single-engine light aircraft, flown by pilot Mr Ibbotson, crashed near Alderney just after he became Cardiff City's record transfer.

    The funeral of Cardiff City striker Emiliano Sala will take place in Argentina on Saturday. The 28-year-old died when the plane he was in with pilot David Ibbotson crashed in the English Channel en route from Nantes to Cardiff on 21 January.

    Jigger and trawler collide in Argentina's mile 201; crew rescued and heading for Montevideo

    This time of the year is squid season in the South Atlantic and the area experiences and intense traffic of licensed and non licenses jiggers

    A Chinese flagged jigger sank after colliding with a Spanish flagged trawler on Friday morning to the northwest of the Falkland Islands. All thirty crew members have been rescued by other fishing vessels, and are heading for Montevideo, according to the latest reports from the Argentine Coast Guard. The collision involved the jigger V Zhong Yuan Yu 11 and the trawler Pesca Vaqueiro, which went undamaged.

    Falklands has offered 105 licenses for the new Illex squid season

    Director of Natural Resources John Barton said ”the number of licenses offered is the same as the last few years”

    The Illex squid fishery season starts on February 14 and 105 licenses have been offered confirmed Director of Natural Resources John Barton. He added: “Not all vessels which applied received licenses. The number of licenses offered is the same as the last few years.”
