  Argentina claims Wallace's remarks are “inappropriate and unacceptable”

  

  The Argentine foreign ministry reacted strongly to Defense Secretary Ben Wallace's statements published on Monday in the Daily Telegraph arguing that his belligerent threats and denigratory remarks towards Argentina are not compatible with the current level of diplomatic relations.

  On Margaret Thatcher Day, Secretary Wallace said “Britain will continue to stand up to bullies”

  

  On Monday UK Defense secretary told the Falklands 40 Margaret Thatcher Day Lecture that Britain will continue to “stand up to bullies” wherever in the world they happen to be situated. He said: “Our enemies should not doubt Britain’s determination to stand up to bullies, to defend those who cannot defend themselves and for our values.”

  Falklands ends a great performance, as the Manchester curtain comes down

  Extra team of medics and HMS Protector re tasked to Bahamas disaster area

  

  The Royal Navy has deployed extra medics to join Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship Mounts Bay in delivering humanitarian assistance to the Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian. A team of 18 military medical staff arrived in the region and will provide emergency care, surgery and intensive care to those in need.

  Commemorations for the 50th anniversary of operations in Northern Ireland

  

  To mark the 50th anniversary of the start of Operation Banner in Northern Ireland, commemorations were held on Wednesday at the Arboretum in Staffordshire. Op Banner lasted almost 38 years between 14 August 1969 and 31 Jul 2007 - more than 300,000 members of the UK Armed Forces were deployed in this time. Some 1,441 serving personnel died on deployment or in related paramilitary acts.
