Several leaders from British Overseas Territories, BOT, including Falkland Islands, are meeting in Cayman Islands to discuss the agenda of the Joint Ministerial Council to be held in December in London.
Prime Minister David Cameron has urged British overseas territories to get their house in order and sign up to international treaties on tax. He wrote to 10 territories and crown dependencies, including the Cayman Islands and the Isle of Man, which operate low-tax regimes.
Tax havens such as Bermuda and the Cayman Islands will work more closely with Britain and other European countries to fight tax evasion, British finance minister George Osborne said.
