The European Kingdom of Denmark Friday announced a reshaping of its foreign policies and a series of measures pertaining thereto which included lifting its embassy in Buenos Aires, which encompasses Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. The measure will be effective within a year.
Uruguay and Armenia will up their diplomatic relations by opening up reciprocal embassies in Montevideo and Erevan, it was announced Monday.
The former Soviet republic of Georgia plans to open embassies in Brazil and Mexico and will send a top delegation to the inauguration of Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos as it seeks to attract more foreign investment and to expand economic and political ties with Latin America, according to the Foreign Ministry.
Kuwait and Uruguay signed several agreements to bolster bilateral relations during the visit to Montevideo of a high level delegation from the Middle East country. Kuwaiti authorities announced that the kingdom would soon be opening an embassy in Montevideo.
