  Manchester University alumni society in Chile; UK number one destination of “Becas Chile”

  

  British Ambassador to Chile, Mrs. Fiona Clouder, held a reception to mark the official launch of the Manchester University alumni society in Chile. Fifty Manchester graduates joined the event in the Ambassador’s residence from many different academic and professional disciplines.

  Prince Harry will be visiting Chile and Brazil next June

  

  Prince Harry will undertake two official overseas visits in May and June this year. He will visit Estonia and Italy in May, followed by a visit to Brazil and Chile in June. Both visits are in support of the UK Government and are being organized by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

  Fiona Clouder appointed new British ambassador to Chile

  

  Fiona Clouder has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to Chile, announced the Foreign Office. Ms Clouder will succeed Mr Jon Benjamin, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Ms Clouder will take up her appointment during February 2014.

  UK at OAS assembly in Bolivia ratifies the Falklands’ people self determination

  

  The UK ratified on Tuesday the Falkland Islands people’s self determination following a resolution from the OAS general assembly taking place in Bolivia calling on the two sides (Argentina and UK) to resume dialogue on the sovereignty of the Islands which are claimed by Argentina.
