    People who live up to the age of 90 retire too soon for the Libertarian government

    The Argentine Government of President Javier Milei is reportedly planning to raise the retirement age of women to equate it with that of men, among other initiatives to be brought before Congress in the coming month by the newly-created May Council, a political committee provided for in a presidential decree last week after the “May Pact” signed earlier this month in Tucumán.

    Argentine President Javier Milei said Friday that Thursday's Senate setback casted doubts on the signing of the so-called May Pact he launched during his State of the Nation speech on March 1. The Upper House voted by 42 to 25 and 4 abstentions against Milei's most-encompassing emergency Decree (DNU) 70/23 which will nonetheless remain in force pending the Lower House's decision.
