  Ushuaia anticipates an exceptional cruise season with 431 calls

  

  Ushuaia, extreme south of Argentina and the hub which handles most Antarctica bound cruises are expecting an exceptional 2019/20 season with some 431 calls, up from the 392 of the previous season, according to provincial port authorities.

  “Positive” cruise season for Punta Arenas; planning a 34% increase for 2019/20

  

  For Punta Arenas, extreme south of Chile, this last cruise season was “positive” while the coming 2019/20 is expected to be even better with some 130 calls and over 94.000 passengers with an estimated increase of 34%, according to Patricia Lopez Manieu, General Manager of the Austral Ports Company, EPA, from Punta Arenas.

  MSC Cruises has organized its second world cruise, setting sail in 2020

  

  MSC Cruises, the Swiss-based world’s largest privately-owned cruise line and market leader in Europe and South America, announced the opening of sales for its second world cruise, setting sail in 2020 on board MSC Magnifica. MSC Voyagers Club members can begin booking today, and all other passengers can book beginning November 23.

  Brazilian officials claim Italian cruise vessel had crew members in 'slave-like conditions'

  

  Brazilian police say they have rescued 11 crew members working in “slave-like conditions” on an Italian cruise ship. The operation was carried out the north-eastern city of Salvador, where the MSC Magnifica had docked for the day with more than 3,000 passengers.
