  Brazilian oil export record in 2020, average 1,4 million bpd

  

  Brazil established a new record for oil exports in 2020, with sales averaging 1,4 million bpd and a peak of 1,9 million bpd during the month of May, according to the Mines and Energy minister Bento Albuquerque. The minister also announced that on 7 January, Brazil's oil giant Petrobras reached a daily production record of 2,84 million barrels of oil, beating the previous mark set in 2015, with 2.79 million BOE/day.

  Brazilian oil exports more than doubled in July to 8.19 million tons, compared to 3.76 million tons shipped in July 2019, according to data released by the Foreign Trade Secretariat, Secex.

  Petrobras record exports of fuel oil, low in sulphur content

  

  Brazil's oil and gas giant Petrobras during the month of Maye exported 1.11 million tons of fuel oil, surpassing the previous record set in February 2020 by 10%. The amount of fuel oil exported was 231% above the volume exported in May last year.
